Getting Here

  • Nalikhali Guesthouse is located approximately 139 kilometres from Dhaka City. Travel time depends heavily on traffic in and around Dhaka, but by private car the journey usually takes around 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours.

By Private Car

  • From Dhaka, take the N3 Dhaka to Mymensingh Highway towards Mymensingh.

  • At the Mymensingh Bypass roundabout, take the first exit towards the N309 to Muktagacha.

  • Continue towards Muktagacha, then keep left onto the N401 and pass through Muktagacha town.

  • Approximately 2.5 kilometres after Muktagacha, right onto the Z4101 towards Chachua.

  • From Chachua, one of our guides will meet you and accompany you on the final short journey to Nalikhali Guesthouse.

  • We like to meet guests here because the last part of the journey is part of the experience: a slow 30-minute rickshaw ride through rice fields, small villages, and local teahouses before arriving at our home.

By Bus

  • We recommend United Bus Company from Mohakhali Bus Terminal in Dhaka. Buses depart approximately every hour.

  • Tell the driver or conductor that you want to get off at Mymensingh Bypass. Do not continue to Maskanda Bus Terminal in Mymensingh.

  • The journey from Dhaka usually takes 2 to 3 hours (depending on traffic).

  • At Mymensingh Bypass, you will find plenty of CNGs. Hire a private CNG to Chechua Bazaar. The price is BDT 500, and the driver will not stop or pick up other passengers along the route.

  • Our team will meet you at Chechua Bazaar and accompany you for the final part of the journey to Nalikhali Guesthouse.

The drive from the Mymensingh Bypass to Chachua is approximately 24 kilometres and usually takes around 35 minutes, depending on local traffic and road conditions.

From Chachua, the journey changes pace. The final stretch to Nalikhali Guesthouse is not measured only in time or distance. By then, you have already entered The Garo Experience: a slow rickshaw ride through rice fields, small villages, teahouses, and the living landscape of the Garo homeland.

WE WILL MEET YOU HERE:

As you enter Chechua Bazar, pass the busy CNG area on your right. The meeting point is just beyond it, at the second road on your left. Your Garo Experience guide will be waiting at the fruit stall on the corner.

Travel Support:

Because Nalikhali is a village location, we recommend that guests contact us before travelling and at key locations along the route.

We can help confirm the best route, advise on departure time, and arrange the final transfer from Chachua.
